The outcome of any event always depends on the plan and build up towards it. But with so many things going on behind the scenes, which elements should be given greater consideration?
The Strategy
When it comes to event strategy we’re not just talking location, design and line up. You have to really understand the purpose of your event and identify your desired outcome. Start off by ingraining the goals of the company or organisation, their culture and what they’re trying to achieve before planning anything else.
The Design
Once you’ve figured out the purpose of what you’re doing, it’s then time to envision it. Estimate your available budget and allocate it to your various needs. If you have already built a strong strategy then you may save some time in this part. Think about location, presentations, lighting, decorations and any other unique elements relating to your purpose. This is where your audio, visual and interactive equipment needs will need to be met.
The Execution
The final element is pulling everything together, which will only run smoothly if your pre-production was planned correctly. Make sure you create a schedule and assign tasks to your designated team, as organisation is key here.
