Eventbrite, the global platform for live experiences, has released it’s 2020 Event Trends Report, which is a must read for anyone working in the events industry and people who often host their own events.
The report provides us with a snapshot of the industry, what’s changed and what to expect in 2020.
Overall there seems to be a predicted steady growth in the events industry with 96% of companies thinking that the size of their team will grow and 60% saying that they expect their budget to increase in the year.
When it comes to events, 57% of event creators say they plan to host even more events than last year.
Out of the trends analysed in the report, the one that definitely stands out is the importance of sustainability at events. In fact, events have already started tackling sustainability by:
- Using e-tickets (87%)
- Using reusable items (50%)
- Offering vegan food (46%)
- Encouraging public transport (38%)
Creating an eco-friendly event will soon not be seen as just a trend but a necessity, in the CSR of events.
The data of this report is based on responses from 6,843 event creators, organising everything from fundraisers, conferences, concerts and festivals.
